8 Days to go
So we’re down to the last couple of days before D day. Everything’s packed, well almost. If I forget anything I’ll just have to buy it in London.
Had a great ride with the Two Marks this morning. They’ve been great encouragement. As have Ian, Dave, Kieran, Joe, Rob, Murphy, and the twins. All have played their part in my fitness program, some without even knowing it. A big thanks to them.
But what would this all be without the support from my wife and daughter. They’ve had to sacrifice family time for a cycle bore. All of those tricking cold Winter’s mornings, wet and windy days, without a partner and dad. A very big thank you to Liz and Maddie. I love you guys loads.
So back to this morning’s ride. Mark 1 took us for a tiki tour out east. Out to Musick point. We had a bit of everything, from CX to pavé and Strada Bianci. A nice even tempo’d ride. Still with not a bad average speed. Legs felt great, just didn’t want to push it. Will decide whether or not to ride tomorrow morning at 5am. There’s the chance of rain, but more importantly, the Bledisloe Cup is on tonight. It’s going to be a great game.
