Cycling Auckland to Ohakune
Auckland to Ohakune 411km, what could be better.
We’ve got a plan, an exciting plan. The plan is to ride from Auckland to Ohakune nonstop, yeah, you read that right. Leaving at 5am on March 22nd. Stopping at various points along the way for food and refilling bottles, it should take us close to 18hrs. We should, all things being well, arrive in Ohakune at about 11pm that evening. We’ll stay in town for the next part of the big adventure, The Volcano and lake double header.
Update: We have 5 committed riders for the AKL – Ohakune ride, and 10 for the GLcc main event.
